Trixie Tiangco


I studied Medicine at the University of the Philippines Colled of Medicine and graduated with the Class of 1987. After medical school I took my residency in Internal Medicine at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital, then added another 3 years of post residency Fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. I have been in clinical practice in Metro Manila since then. I also have a Masters Degree in Clinical Epidemiology which I took to hone my research skills. Nowadays, during my lectures to 2nd year medical students and Medical Oncology fellows, and in my lectures to colleagues, I teach Participatory Medicine and Patient-Centered Healthcare.
